Lucy Cavendish College
Fine art photography of the Library, Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge presented as part of the large Illuminating Cambridge Libraries series. The library at Lucy is a cheerful space full of blue and yellowed wood. Beams of the vaulted ceiling at the top lead to tall windows overlooking the garden and book sculpture. Some of the bookshelves have built in retractable lecterns, the only ones I’ve seen in Cambridge. Their rare book room has a lovely collection of Victorian decorated spines (eg see ‘Books III‘ below).
This photographic collection of the Library at Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge was photographed in 2018-19 and contains 33 images, a small selection of which are shown below and available as giclee prints in many sizes.
Created and presented with thanks to the librarians and by kind permission of the President and Fellows of the College. Click here to learn more about the library.
