Selwyn College
Fine art photography of the Library, Selwyn College Cambridge presented as part of the large Illuminating Cambridge Libraries series. The library was originally constructed in 1929 with a major renovation in the 1980s. It was completely replaced by a newly built Bartlam Library in 2021. The library had a comfortable ground floor and lovely upstairs reading room. Leading up the stairs was a Wooden Spoon – traditionally awarded to the person who received the lowest marks in the Mathematical Tripos.
This photographic collection of the (old) Library at Selwyn College Cambridge was photographed in 2019 and contains 39 images, a small selection of which are shown below and available as giclee prints in many sizes.
Created and presented with thanks to the librarians and by kind permission of the Master and Fellows of the College. Click here to learn more about the library.
